1. Check the Lighter Before You Design
Compare your lighter with the model and shape pictured on the product page. Do not assume the same skin fits a BIC Mini, an extended-reach lighter, a torch lighter, or another brand. If you are unsure, ask us about fit before ordering.
2. Open the Custom Product
Choose the BIC Lighter Custom Skin, select one of the available Matte or Gloss finishes, and open the customizer. This is the product for uploading your own design; ready-made designs in the BIC lighter skins collection are separate options.
3. Keep the Artwork Simple and Readable
Upload a high-resolution original photo or logo, add text if you want it, and choose a background color. A lighter has a small printable area, so a clear focal point and short, readable wording usually work better than a busy collage or a long slogan.

4. Check Every Part of the Preview
- Keep faces, lettering and logos away from the template edges and seam area.
- Check the design orientation and spelling.
- Fill any background areas you want printed; complete every design area the customizer presents.
- Review the selected finish, item quantity and product name before checkout.
Custom prints are not made on clear material. A transparent PNG does not create a see-through skin: transparent areas print white when no background color is selected. Choose a background deliberately.
5. Install Without Modifying the Lighter
Use the supplied, model-specific skin and its instructions. Work only with a cool, unlit lighter, away from ignition sources. Keep the ignition mechanism, flame outlet and safety features unobstructed.
Do not use a hair dryer or heat gun on a lighter, cut against its body, puncture it, or modify its ignition parts. If the skin does not align or interferes with operation, stop and contact us rather than trimming it on the lighter. Keep lighters away from children and follow BIC’s safety guidance.

A skin changes the lighter’s appearance; it does not make it heatproof, impact-resistant, or safer to operate. Review the current return policy for custom-order restrictions, then check your finished design once more before placing the order.
