Device Skins & Protection
What are Slickwraps device skins, and how do they protect your device?
A Slickwraps device skin is a thin, precision-cut wrap designed to customize and protect your phone, laptop, tablet, gaming console, or other electronic device. It helps protect covered surfaces from everyday scratches, scuffs, fingerprints, and minor wear without adding the bulk of a traditional case.
What is the difference between a device skin and a case?
A device skin gives your device a personalized look while preserving its original slim shape and lightweight feel. Unlike bulky cases that can hide the design of your device, Slickwraps skins add style, grip, and protection against everyday scratches, scuffs, and fingerprints without adding noticeable size or weight.
Skins also allow easier access to buttons, ports, wireless charging, and accessories while giving your device a clean, custom appearance.
What devices does Slickwraps make skins for?
Slickwraps offers precision-cut skins for the latest flagship phones, MacBooks, laptops, tablets, gaming systems, controllers, headphones, cameras, smart-home products, and many other electronics.
We stay up to date with major device launches and often release skins on the same day a new flagship device becomes available.

Do Slickwraps skins protect devices from scratches?
Yes. Slickwraps skins help protect covered surfaces from everyday scratches, scuffs, fingerprints, and normal wear while preserving your device’s slim profile and original design.
How long does a Slickwraps skin last?
Slickwraps skins are designed for long-lasting use. Properly cleaning the device before installation and gently heating and sealing curved edges will help ensure a secure, durable fit.
Can I use a case or wireless charger with a Slickwraps skin?
Most Slickwraps skins are thin enough to work with standard wireless charging and many cases. Very tight cases may rub against or lift full-coverage side pieces. If you regularly use a tight case, a back-only or split-coverage installation may work better.
Choosing the Correct Skin
How do I find the correct skin for my device?
Select the exact device model, size, and release year. Products that look similar may have different dimensions, cameras, buttons, vents, or ports. For a MacBook, check About This Mac. You can also verify the model number in the device settings or on the device itself.
Why does the exact model number matter?
Manufacturers often release several devices with nearly identical names. Even a small difference in size or camera placement can prevent a skin from fitting correctly. Do not order based only on screen size or the general device name.
What is included with my skin kit?
Coverage varies by device and product. A kit may include back, side, camera, top, inside, bottom, controller, or accessory pieces. Review the product photos, coverage diagram, option name, and description before ordering because not every kit covers every surface.
Do phone skin kits include more than one coverage option?
Many Slickwraps phone kits include a Full Coverage set with attached sides and a Split Full set with separate side pieces. Kit contents vary by phone model, so always check the specific product page before ordering.
Do MacBook skins cover the sides?
Most MacBook kits are designed for the top, inside or palm-rest area, trackpad, and bottom, depending on the option selected. MacBook side coverage is generally not included unless it is specifically shown on the product page.
Can Slickwraps make a skin for an unsupported device or provide one part of a kit?
Possibly. Contact Slickwraps support with the manufacturer, exact model number, dimensions, photos, and the specific piece you need. Creating a new precision-cut template may require the physical device, a template-creation fee, and a prepaid return label.
Materials & Finishes
What is the difference between matte and gloss skins?
Matte skins have reduced reflection and a softer, more subtle appearance. Gloss skins reflect more light and usually make colors and printed designs appear brighter and more saturated. Texture, grip, and installation method may vary by collection.
What is the Slickwraps Naked Series?
The Naked Series is a transparent protective skin designed to preserve your device’s original color and appearance while adding a layer of everyday protection.
Matte and Semi-Gloss finishes use a dry-application 3M grid adhesive that helps release air for a smooth, bubble-free installation. The adhesive pattern may be slightly more noticeable on darker-colored devices.
Gloss and Ultra Matte finishes use a wet-application method and offer enhanced durability and self-healing properties for minor surface marks.
For the best results, always watch the installation video before applying your Naked Series skin.
What is the difference between dry and wet application?
A dry-application skin uses pressure-sensitive adhesive and is installed without liquid. A wet-application skin uses installation solution so the film can slide and be repositioned before it begins to adhere. Wet-application films require more installation time and should be allowed to cure before regular use.
Custom & Personalized Skins
Can I design my own device skin?
Yes. Use Slickwraps’ Design Your Own customizer to upload photos, artwork, patterns, or logos; add text; choose colors; and position, resize, rotate, or crop the design before ordering.
What image quality and file type should I use?
For the best print quality, upload the highest-resolution original image available. Artwork should ideally be created at the final print size and approximately 300 DPI.
High-resolution PNG and JPG files work well for most custom designs. Avoid using screenshots, thumbnails, or images downloaded from social media, as they may be compressed and can print blurry or pixelated.
What do the cut line and bleed area mean?
The cut line shows where the skin will be cut. Keep faces, logos, text, and other important elements safely inside it. Extend background colors and images at least 1.5 mm beyond the intended cut area whenever possible so minor cutting movement does not create an unprinted edge.
Will Slickwraps review my custom design before printing?
The customizer preview is used as the production reference. Carefully review the device model, spelling, image quality, placement, cropping, orientation, and logo coverage before submitting the order. Slickwraps may contact you if an obvious production issue is detected, but a separate proof is not automatically provided.
Can I print a company logo or branded design?
Yes. Custom skins can include business logos, brand colors, employee names, asset numbers, promotional artwork, and QR codes. The customer is responsible for having permission to reproduce all submitted artwork, logos, photographs, trademarks, and copyrighted material.
Can custom or personalized skins be returned?
Custom printed, personalized, made-to-order, and Design Your Own products are created specifically for each order and are final sale. Please review your device model, design, image placement, spelling, and selected options carefully before completing your purchase.
Will transparent areas in my PNG print clear?
No. Custom designs are printed on an opaque material, not clear film. If you upload a PNG with transparent areas and do not select a background color, those areas will print white by default.
To use a different background, select your preferred color in the Design Your Own customizer before completing your order.
Installation & Removal
Are Slickwraps skins easy to install, and what tools do I need?
Most Slickwraps skins are designed for easy at-home installation. For the best results, work in a clean, well-lit area and use a microfiber cloth, device-safe cleaner, squeegee or plastic card, and a hair dryer or heat gun for curved edges and corners.
Wet-application skins include the required installation solution.
Always watch the installation video for your device or material before you begin: Slickwraps Installation Videos
How should I clean my device before installation?
Turn off and unplug the device. Remove dust, grease, fingerprints, wax, and cleaner residue with a microfiber cloth and an appropriate device-safe cleaner. Allow the surface to dry completely before installing a dry-application skin.
Is heat required during installation?
Heat is strongly recommended for corners, curved edges, narrow pieces, side coverage, and other non-flat surfaces. Heat makes the material more flexible and helps seal the adhesive. Keep the heat source moving and do not overheat or stretch the skin.
How do I prevent or remove bubbles?
Clean the device thoroughly before installation. Apply the skin slowly, starting from the center and working toward the edges. Use a squeegee or plastic card to push out trapped air as you go.
For wet-application skins, use the included installation solution to position the skin, then use firm, overlapping squeegee passes from the center toward the edges to remove excess liquid and air.
Why are the edges lifting, and how long should a wet skin cure?
Edge lifting can be caused by oil, dust, cleaner residue, insufficient heat, stretching, repeated repositioning, a tight case, or handling a wet-applied skin too soon. Apply gentle heat and press the edge firmly until it cools. Wet-application skins should cure for at least 6–8 hours; waiting overnight is recommended.
Can I remove and reinstall a Slickwraps skin?
Skins are intended for one installation. To remove one, turn off the device, warm a small section with low heat, and peel it back slowly at a low angle. Removing a fully applied skin can stretch the material, contaminate the adhesive, or weaken edge adhesion, so successful reinstallation is not guaranteed.
Orders, Shipping & Tracking
How long does Slickwraps take to process an order?
Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Business days do not include weekends or holidays. Custom printed, large, bulk, pre-order, or artwork-approval orders may require additional production time.
Does expedited shipping make production faster?
Expedited shipping changes the carrier delivery speed after production is complete. It does not eliminate normal processing time unless a separate rush-production arrangement has been approved. Delivery estimates for UPS 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air begin after the order has finished processing.
How will I know when my order ships?
A shipping confirmation email with tracking information is sent when the order ships. Check your spam or promotions folder if you do not see it. You can also review available order information through your customer account.
Why has my tracking number not updated?
Carriers may take up to 48 hours to display the first tracking activity. International economy shipments may also move between consolidation facilities before additional scans appear. A shipping label does not always create an immediate physical carrier scan.
Which shipping carriers and delivery methods does Slickwraps use?
Available shipping methods depend on your destination and are displayed at checkout after you enter your shipping address.
For U.S. orders, options may include free shipping on qualifying orders, USPS Ground Advantage, FedEx Ground, FedEx 2Day, and multiple UPS services.
For Canada, available options may include FedEx International Connect Plus, FedEx International Ground, UPS Standard, UPS Worldwide Expedited, and UPS Worldwide Saver.
For other international destinations, options may include Economy International, FedEx International Connect Plus, FedEx International Economy, UPS international services, and USPS First Class Package International.
Shipping rates and estimated transit times are calculated at checkout. Visit our Shipping & Delivery page for more information.
Does Slickwraps ship internationally, and who pays customs fees?
Yes. Slickwraps ships worldwide to more than 235 countries. Import duties, VAT, tariffs, brokerage fees, and customs charges are not included in product or shipping prices and are the recipient’s responsibility.
My tracking says delivered, but I cannot find the package. What should I do?
Check the mailbox, parcel locker, delivery location, household members, neighbors, building office, and any safe location used by the carrier. Contact the carrier and request delivery confirmation or GPS information when available. Slickwraps will assist whenever possible, but packages marked delivered are generally not treated as carrier loss.
What happens if my address is incorrect, and do you ship to APO/FPO addresses?
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate address. If a package is returned because the address was incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable, a reshipping fee may apply and original shipping charges are non-refundable. Slickwraps ships to APO/FPO addresses when entered exactly according to military postal guidelines.
Returns, Refunds & Replacements
What is the Slickwraps return policy for U.S. orders?
Eligible U.S. orders may be returned within 14 days of delivery. The product must be brand-new, unused, unapplied, in its original condition, and in the original packaging. Contact Slickwraps for approval before sending a return. Customers are responsible for return shipping, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Is there a restocking fee?
For eligible U.S. returns, refunds issued to the original payment method are subject to a 5% restocking fee. The fee is waived when the approved refund is issued as Slickwraps store credit. Eligible EU right-of-withdrawal refunds are not subject to a restocking fee.
Which products are not returnable, and can international orders be returned?
Non-returnable items include custom printed, personalized, made-to-order, Design Your Own, gift card, sale, clearance, installed, used, altered, damaged, and backing-paper-removed products. Orders shipped outside the United States and European Union are final sale unless defective, damaged, or incorrect. Eligible EU purchases may have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Review the complete policy for all conditions and exclusions.
What should I do if I received the wrong, damaged, or defective skin?
Do not install the skin or discard the product, label, backing paper, or packaging. Contact support with your order number, exact device model, and clear photos or video showing the item and issue. Slickwraps will review the claim and provide the appropriate replacement or return instructions.
How long does a refund take?
After an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is typically processed within 5 business days. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the funds.
Can I cancel or exchange an order?
Orders may be canceled within 15 minutes of purchase if they have not already been processed, printed, produced, packed, or fulfilled. Because many products are made to order, cancellation is not guaranteed after production begins. Exchanges are generally limited to unused products that arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect. EU cancellation rights may differ before fulfillment.
