Steam Machine Honeycomb Series Skins

Before applying your skin, watch the installation video for your device and coverage option. It will show the correct starting point, alignment, and heat technique.

Remove dust, oils, and fingerprints, then let the surface dry completely before you begin.

A misaligned skin can overhang on one side while falling short on the other. Carefully position the skin and check every edge and cutout before pressing it down.

Alignment tip: If the adhesive keeps grabbing, place the skin back onto the backing paper and expose only a small portion of the adhesive side. Use that exposed section to align and lightly anchor the skin.

Once the skin is properly aligned, secure the anchored area and apply the remaining skin gradually. Smooth it from the center toward the edges in overlapping passes, checking the alignment as you go before pressing each section firmly into place.

Heat from a hair dryer or heat gun increases flexibility, activates the adhesive, and helps the skin conform smoothly to curved and non-flat surfaces. If an edge feels sharp or raised, apply heat and smooth it down. If you see a wrinkle, gently lift the affected area, apply heat, and reapply it with a windshield-wiper motion from the center outward.

Work in a clean, low-dust area. Remove all dust, oils, and fingerprints so the installation surface is completely clean.

Generously spray Naked Juice onto both the adhesive side of the film and the installation surface, avoiding ports and openings. Ample solution allows the film to slide smoothly without sticking or snagging before it is aligned.

Slide the wrap into position and inspect every corner, edge, and cutout. Continue adjusting it until the alignment is exactly where you want it, and avoid pulling or stretching the material.

Once you are satisfied with the alignment, smooth the film from the center toward the edges in firm, overlapping passes. Push all Naked Juice and air bubbles to the outside, then blot away the excess with a clean, lint-free cloth.

Heat can speed up the process and help seal the edges effectively. Because Naked Wet film can stretch or shrink when pulled or exposed to excessive heat, apply heat only where needed and avoid stretching the material. Smooth down every edge, then allow the skin to set for 6–8 hours; leaving it overnight is best.
