So what is a device skin anyway? Here at Slickwraps, we create quality skins and limited cases to protect your smartphone, gaming device, tablet, laptop, audio device and so much more! Made with the same grade of material you find on high-end vehicle wraps, stylish custom-fitted skins are the perfect way to customize and personalize your devices. A device skin does provide protection just not to the same extent as a case. They fit directly on the phone, resulting in a slimmer fit and feel than a bulky case. Slickwraps skins can cover up old ugly scratches and protect your devices from day to day wear and tear, new surface scratches, dings, and fingerprints. Unlike an ordinary sticker, Slickwraps does not leave nasty goo when removed, so you can change your device skin as often as you change your style!.

The year is 1977. Jimmy Carter is the White House, wearing a sweater. "Star Wars" debuts in theaters. Elvis dies. And then something really big happens: Apple Computer company introduces its first product and iconic logo -- a gaily striped apple that's missing a bite. It's all enough to make a person nostalgic, even if you weren't alive at the time. Now you can swing like the '70s with the Apple Retro Wrap from Slickwraps, featuring the original Apple logo. This vintage vinyl wrap is available for a limited time at the throwback price of $19.84. Like all Slickwraps skins, it's made in the USA, easy to install and offers your iPhone protection from scratching in the most stylish way possible -- in this case, with a tribute to one of the most influential tech companies ever. Think about it. The Mac, iMac, iPod, iBook, MacBook, Apple Store, iTunes. And then a decade ago, in 2007, Apple introduces the iPhone, forever redefining what we think of as a "phone." The Apple Retro Wrap is lightweight and durable, with an understated matte finish and -- most importantly --- that groovy logo. The Apple Retro Wrap fits the iPhone7, 7 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 6, 6 Plus, 5S/SE.
We took a little heat last year with our April 1 announcement that Slickwraps was going into the condom business. Some people thought the joke was in poor taste. Some were disappointed we couldn't actually fulfill their orders for the non-existent product. So this year, we decided to make up for it by launching Contour, the industry's first do-it-yourself maker of wraps for mobile devices. Mobile ELECTRONIC devices, that is. Small enough to fit on a desktop, the Contour works like a 3D printer, spraying a durable skin made of advance materials directly onto iPhones, Androids and other mobile electronic devices. Not only does the Contour work quick, but you can mix and match our all of design themes -- from wood and leather to chrome, glitz, camo and glow -- to come up with something completely original. But just to reiterate, it is NOT intended to be used on body parts. The Contour has been years in the making. And believe us, keeping a project like this under "wrap" isn't easy. Now we're letting it all hang out. Heck, we'll probably get our own category on Pinterest. Or Craigslist. Still don't believe it's possible? Check out a video of Contour in action at getcontour.io.It's bonafide. No joke.
60 hours later, we've decided not to wrap the Nintendo Switch. After high heat testing using our products ranging from most popular to most exotic, it is conclusive that the surface of the Nintendo switch is not adhesive friendly. We have created a time lapse video of the time our wraps sat over the weekend as well as a vinyl removal video to show what we experienced, unfiltered. Feel free to also view the accompanying photos to view the damage we witnessed after removing our test wraps. While the Joy-Cons have not shown immediate signs of finish degradation, it became apparent when viewing both the screen as well as wrap, which the use of adhesives can remove not only the screen printed logo and FCC information, but the black finish on the unit's surface as well. Due to our discoveries, we have ceased testing and have decided that we will not be producing wraps for the Nintendo Switch. This decision comes as a result of our commitment to only provide quality products we are confident standing behind. While we have considered offering the product along with a disclaimer for those customers who still wish to customize their devices, we as a company did not want to see our product negatively affect your device, so our decision to not wrap the Nintendo Switch will stand. That, unless changes are made to the surface that we can once again test. We will wait and see. If you have pre-ordered a Nintendo Switch skin, please know that your order is being immediately canceled and refunded. You will also receive a personal communication with further details; please keep an eye out for that email. We thank you for your business and look forward to any developments which may allow us to wrap the Nintendo Switch in the future.
Doctor Strange, watch out. OK, so our new Slickwraps video probably won't bump the supernatural thriller out of its top box office spot. It was still fun to see the cameras roll in our Wichita headquarters-turned-studio. The video crew used some of the latest technology available, and it shows. As the movie poster might advertise: Comedy! Special effects! Mickey > Mouse! (Well, at least his hands.) The real purpose of the video was to highlight our Black Friday 50-percent-off sale and prize giveaways. We learned there's no business like show business, as the production virtually took over our Old Town offices for a weekend. But hey, you've got to suffer for your art. We don't know whether a star is born, but now that the show business bug has bitten, can a sequel be far behind? The Good, the Bad and the Slickwraps, anyone?
Google "wraps" together with the new Google-made Pixel phones and guess what comes up: Slickwraps, naturally. It's a match made in mobile device heaven. Known for our creative, high quality and reasonably priced vinyl wraps, Slickwraps produced nine models (in many color variations) in time for the release of the highly anticipated Pixel and Pixel XL this month. The durable ultra thin wraps come in the following themes carbon, metal, wood, color, leather, glitz, stone, hemp and naked. With multiple colors available, there are 45 options altogether. They are priced at $14.60 except for the naked, which runs $18.95. The wraps are already attracting attention within the Android phone community. Androidheadlines.com, Androidauthority.com and phonearena.com all had nice things to say about the wraps.Phonearena.com noted that for folks who love Pixel's features but not its' simplistic styling, Slickwraps "are exactly what the proverbial doctor ordered."

In the world of mobile electronic devices, the introduction of a new generation of iPhone is kind of a big deal. Which is like saying Beyonce is kind of a big deal in the music world. So here at Slickwraps we're happy to be making our new line of durable wraps and hard cases available at the same time as Apple brings out its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We are taking pre-orders and expect to deliver by or before the phones are actually released Sept. 16. "This is the fastest we've ever been able to launch," our CEO Jonathan Endicott says. That's good for Slickwraps and good for iPhone customers, too. Apple acknowledges that the iPhone 7 model that's created the most buzz -- a version in glossy jet black -- is more prone to scratching than other colors. Fortunately, one of Slickwraps' newest skins is clear -- or naked, if you prefer -- protecting the device without covering it up.
