"Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. ... Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful -- that's what matters to me."  -- Steve Jobs

Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of Steve Jobs, and here at Slickwraps we'd like to take the time to remember the legacy he left behind. Without Jobs and his help to make Apple one of the most successful companies in history, we wouldn't be able to do what we do, and as a company are grateful for the contributions he made. It was more than 8 years ago that Jobs first announced his health problems, what would be revealed as a battle with pancreatic cancer. And although he took several leaves of absence from his position as C.E.O. to focus on recovery, Jobs continued to help Apple be an innovator in the technology industry. Even now, a year after his death, Jobs' legacy has helped to bring Apple to the next level, as they continue to lead the technological world to bigger and better things. The iPhone 5 was no exception. This newest Apple device embodied what Jobs strived for, to constantly evolve and create "the next best thing." This will no doubt continue as Apple is expected to release the iPad Mini in the very near future. Although it's been a year since the Apple mogul's passing, thanks to his legacy, we will continue to see Apple evolve as a company and compete in the ever-changing world of technology. He may not be up on the stage in his iconic blue jeans and black turtle neck, introducing "the next best thing", but his visions will be carried out in the great company he left behind.
