We've all seen just how successful a simple idea can become when there is enough public support to make it happen. Just look at the massive support for the new Pebble Watch. This project began as a simple idea on Kickstarter, but quickly became reality with the help of more than 68,000 backers. Now, it's one of the most sought after smart devices. The project platform, Kickstarter, allows people to present their ideas on the web and collect small pledges. Every project has a time limit, a project goal, and Kickstarter edition products that are sent out to pledgers. After seeing the success of the Pebble, we thought it'd be fun to take a look at some other recent projects on the site. Let's take a look at some popular ones, or head to Kickstarter.com to see all of their listed projects! Romo

- This folding solar panel is meant to be a portable way to charge your electronic devices. The project uses only solar power to charge the cell, from there any device that utilizes a USB port can be charge with it. This device is great for the outdoors. Maybe you're hiking or camping and electric outlets are nowhere to be found. Just hang the cell on your backpack or maybe the outside of your tent. Once it's collected enough solar power, you can plug your electronic devices into it. You can even hang it on the window or your house to use as an indoor, alternate source for power. This Kickstarter project has far exceeded its goal of $5,000 and still has 8 days left for pledges!

- Maybe your not the outdoorsy kind, and don't regularly have the need for an expensive waterproof case. Perhaps you're just spending the day by the pool or at the beach. Smart Bags may be what you are looking for. The creators of this item were looking for a protective alternative from other cases on the market. These are disposable bags meant to protect from dirt, water and grease. On Kickstarter they list their project as "100% biodegradable, antistatic, and water resistant." The bags have not picked up the steam on Kickstarter that other projects have, but they still have time. Plus, they don't require a huge pledge, so they're not a huge investment for the protection they can provide!
